After the full lockdown came into force across England on Thursday 5th November,
it is highly likely that some of these events will not take place this month.
St. Nicholas Church
and the
Hurst Gospel Hall
have well established online services
that we hope will continue throughout the lockdown.
We aim to send out updates as and when we get more information.
In Hurst we are very lucky to have an amazing team of over
60 volunteers
available to offer help should you need it for shopping, collecting
medications or just someone to have a chat with during these difficult times.
If you would like to speak to us, or want to ask for help,
please view the
list of helpers
and we'll see how we can help.
You can easily find volunteers in your area -
just select your road
or
click on a map.
Some volunteers have offered to have a chat on the phone,
some have offered to collect any medication and some to shop.
If the volunteer cannot help, they can contact another volunteer for you.

Light Up Christmas in Ruscombe, Twyford & Hurst
This year, we are bringing the much-loved church Christmas Tree Festival to
our homes! You are invited to decorate your front windows with lights and
scenes telling the Christmas story. Jesus is the light of the world and a
community of windows lit up can remind us all of the hope and joy his birth
brings, despite the uncertainty around many of our usual Christmas
celebrations.
Look out for your copy of the
RG10 Magazine
for more details
and check out our
Facebook event
to stay up to date.
We
hope this initiative will link well with other ideas for Christmas displays
in our villages, as well as chiming with the CoE's national Comfort and Joy
campaign.
Let us know if you'd like your window to appear on our Light Up
Christmas map by emailing
